EVE
GRAY
Born is Scotland, Lynn was torn from the loving
security of her extended family at the early age
of 6. This began a lifetime of new beginnings,
new environments and learning to make new friends.
Lynn remembers all these new beginnings as learning
how to act, you acted like you belonged and understood
the way of life in each place until you really
did get it and then when all was easy and comfortable,
it was time to move on and learn a new act. Many
time it was just the core family and long drives
with only the imagination to entertain, we learned
to amuse ourselves by acting out plays and playing
make believe roles. To a child this is just life
– to an actress this is preparation.
Later
Lynn acted in High School and then learned many
roles through jobs, marriage, child rearing, volunteer
work, traveling, farming, living abroad, school,
post grad studies, teaching, and simply absorbing
life around her. Ask Lynn where she learned to
be a flexible and believable actress and she’ll
tell you living life as fully as possible lets
you experience every emotion that you will ever
be asked to play in a part. When you have truly
experienced life in all it’s extremes then remembering
how it felt inside allows the role to come alive
with vibrancy and conviction. Acting is about
getting inside the untold story of the character.
How they got to where they are in the part being
played. Lynn gets that through empathy, sympathy
and compassion you can tell the story of someone’s
life – she simply ‘becomes’ the vehicle for a
short while.
